Meet Sophie Cooke

Hello and welcome! I understand that starting your therapy journey can be daunting, therefore my aim is to provide a warm environment in which you feel supported, respected and genuinely heard.

There are many different reasons why you might be thinking about starting therapy. You may be feeling anxious and overwhelmed, wishing to explore and process parts of your past, facing difficulties in your relationships or apprehensive about the future and unsure of where to turn next.

Therapy can provide you with a space to explore your thoughts and feelings, allowing you to view issues with more clarity and move forward in your life. Whatever has led you to this point, I believe I can offer you the safe space and time to make sense of how you are feeling, gain a clearer understanding of what is happening in your life, and ultimately improve your mental well being.

I am a warm, approachable and empathic individual, with a genuine passion for therapy. I believe wholeheartedly in the therapeutic process and have witnessed first hand how life changing it can be for people. I am an ‘integrative’ therapist, which means I am trained to use a range of counselling techniques depending on the individual.

I believe our sessions should be collaborative. With this in mind, I will be guided by you as to what is most important to you and what you wish to focus on during our sessions.”
